Blue
The other day I went for a walk. Well, actually, I walked to work. When I walk, it takes me 15 minutes to get there. If I drive, it takes more like 5-10 minutes. Anyway, as I walked I wrote down everything that I saw that was my favorite color, blue.
I saw:
houses
graffti
cars
sky
bus stop sign
bus strip
mailbox
a sign
American flag
letters on a sign
All State sign
Burger King
someone's baseball cap
newspaper stand
Really, it wasn't much. But it did make me aware of what was around me.
I was wondering about what was going to happen at work. I work at my elementary school as an aide to the Pre-K teacher, who also happens to be my mother. My brother also works there - he does the same thing - but he gets paid. See, when I started, I was a minor, but now am an adult. But Ryan - my brother - needs the money to pay things, pay back loans, etc. so they are paying him. I did, however, get the same schedule for the spring semester, and Ryan can't work then - he has student teaching - so I get to get paid! Yay!
Anyway, I was wondering what kind of day it would be. Most of the kids aren't bad; in fact, I really do enjoy it. Except for a few exceptions. Kids that, basically, are very annoying. You always get a few, and we got one this year. She is constantly nagging, whining, doens't want to clean, won't share, yells. Oy. She only comes in two days a week, but there are the two days that I am there. Yay.
However, there are kids that make this job worth while. Like one little girl who says "Tarter sauce." It's actually very funny. One time, some of the kids made a mistake on their project, and this girl said, "Tarter sauce. *Very* tarter sauce."
And there are two girls who are sisters. One is three and the other is four (my mom teaches both three and four year olds). They are the cutest girls. One us quiet and can sit on your lap and just sit there, while the other one will sit on your lap and consistantly move. You have to repeatly tell her to calm down or she will poke your eye out. It's also funny when she lightly touches my hair and says "I love your hair" very softly. So cute.
